Earlier this week I had the chance to talk with Johnny B. Truant for about an hour. We’ve talked via email and Twitter a lot, but we finally managed to meet up over Skype.

We wanted to record this call for you guys because we’re talking about the realities of growing an online business (or any business, for that matter) while raising a family and dealing with all the other responsibilities that come along with being a family focused entrepreneur.

It was nice talking with Johnny about stuff other than the his journey to making 5 figures a month or how he uses storytelling to build a brand and make those 5 figures I just mentioned.

The recorded part is about 40 minutes long and we chatted about:

• why learning to focus during the time you have to work is so important
• how being and entrepreneur has a different meaning when you’re raising a family
• why not having plan B isn’t realistic when family is involved
• the importance of having your family’s support
• the amazing opportunities we have to teach our kids about a different way of thinking

I was off my game a bit due to a fever of 101 degrees, and being drugged with whatever cold medicine I could find in the bathroom, but I still had a lot of fun chatting with Johnny. There’s a lot of great insights you need to hear in this talk.

I was finally able to catch up with Laura Roeder again. I’d recorded an interview with her a little over a month ago, but something happened with the files and they were corrupt (it must have been all the scandalous tattoo talk that went on).

Laura has been one of the few people that have truly made an impact on my business. And the goodness that’s going on here at Entrepreneurial Daddy is a direct result from being fortunate enough to take part in Creating Fame the first time she opened it up – it really is powerful stuff.

I always enjoy chatting with Laura and this was no exception. We covered a lot of ground in our 30 minutes together and to be honest, I didn’t have a real theme for the interview. I did have a few specific questions I wanted to ask, but for the most part we just ran with it.

We talked about her fame, her parents, and even her jammies, and also a few must read books that you’ve probably never heard of.

How To Face Your Fears & Smash Right Through Them

Do you know what your fears are? I’m sure you have a pretty good idea, right?

Let’s look at it a little differently. Do you know what your excuses are? Yea, it kinda stings a little when you say it like that, doesn’t it?

Most of the time, when we don’t accomplish our goals it’s because we gave into our fears in one way or another. My question to you is, “Are these fears real or imaginary? If you take a minute to really think about this, you’d be surprised.

In this episode of The Entrepreneurial Daddy Show we’ll discuss how you can identify the real fears from the imaginary fears (excuses) and how to use each of them to give you the power to smash through them and accomplish any goal you set your sights on.
